Film Clips Audience Feedback

Here are 3 scenes from our film trailer so far. We have tried to select a range of different clips including a sound clip, movement clip and caption.
  • The first clip is a speech clip that we aim to split up and mainly use for the speech itself.
  • The second clip focuses on our character waking up in 'wonderland' for the first time. An influential clip for the trailer.
  • The final clip will be used for captions showing the character supposedly doing a line of cocaine (sherbert).

  1. I really liked the first footage you have shown to the class. My favorite scene was when the character wakes up in wonderland and walks around, the camera was very steady and the angles used were very good. However, I thought the scene where the guy and girl are talking on the bench seemed quite long to be in a trailer.

  2. Some interesting early footage. Varied use of location. Some technical issues with quality in the presentation - hopefully that was just a glitch on the day.
Like the scene waking up in wonderland - very nicely paced with really good subtle camera work, but you need to be careful not make scenes too long - this is a trailer!

  3. The first footage that you presented to the class was very effective because it showed the genre and the aimed mood for your trailer. The 'waking up in wonderland' scene was very visually attractive because the use of the camera was very smooth and attractive. The other scenes really show the narrative of your trailer, the drug world and the romance so i think that your first footage is very effective because it showed the audience what the feel of your overall product would be.

  4. you showed a good range of scenes, Although, you are lacking in a variety of shots. The acting was sufficient. It may look better when presented in a conventional trailer style.
